ECOVALUEMETAL is a French start-up specialized in the extraction of metals from electronic wastes through mechanical methods.
ECO: environmentally friendly
Compared with traditionally used pyrometallurgy (smelting in furnaces) or hydrometallurgy (dissolution in a lixiviant, often an acid), our mechanical and low temperature/pressure process brings a lot of environmental advantages since no gases are generated and no acids are used.
VALUE: low capex and opex
Thanks to a smart combination of well proven methods (grinding, density separation, magnetic separation, sieving...), capex and opex are substantially lower than with most other technologies used to recycle electronic wastes.
METAL: high recovery rates of metals
Our units can process dust and fine residues resulting from the crushing of WEEE, but also printed circuit boards. Their flexibility allows to adapt the process to each particular waste and to achieve high recovery rates for the main metals (precious, copper, tin, nickel...). Besides, the obtained metallic fractions contain a large proportion of the minor metals which are traditionally lost with pyrometallurgy or hydrometallurgy (rare earth, tantalum, germanium, cobalt...).
Mobile units
The mobility of our units, which can fit into one or two containers, enables on-site processing of wastes, avoiding the risks and costs of transportation. Transborder shipment of electronic wastes is highly constrained, and our units can be used very simply in countries which still don't have a satisfactory solution, from an economical and environmental point of view, to process those wastes.
